LAND OF GENGHIS - 4X4 OVERLAND DRIVE ACROSS MONGOLIA

An authentic window into Mongolia as a country, its diverse landscapes, unique nomadic pastoral culture, endemic resident wildlife, not to miss the historically famous native Mongolian horses used by the likes of Genghis Khan – this drive is a seamless amalgamation of driving, outdoors, culture, wildlife and history.

Given that we will be using expedition ready, thoroughly outfitted vehicles with roof tents, this is your chance to bond with the wilderness, yourself and the vehicles in ways only vast and pristine lands can inspire. Join us as we head out to explore this old, quaint land!

  • Khustain Nuruu National Park – home to the famous Prezawalsky horse, native Mongolian breed
  • Erdenee Zuu Monstary – the oldest monastery in Mongolia constructed by Abtai Said Khan, ruler of the Khalkha mongol tribe
  • Orkhon Valley – World Heritage Site located along the Orkhon river that signifies evolution of nomadic pastoral traditions spanning 2 millennia
  • Tsenkher hotsprings
  • Tuvkhun Monastery
  • Kharkhorin town – quaint Mongolian town
  • Ugii Lake – pretty freshwater lake in central Mongolia
  • Wild, uninhabited natural beauty – mountains, high passes, highlands, rivers, gorges etc.

Cost per head – Rs. 3,30,000 per head (applicable for bookings before 15th Aug 2019)
Rs. 3,80,000 per head (applicable for bookings post 15th Aug 2019)

Includes:

  • Flight tickets (ex. Delhi & Bangalore)
  • Visa fees and processing
  • 4wd expedition ready Toyota Landcruiser or similar (2 people sharing the vehicle)
  • All fuel expenses for the drive
  • Two nights accommodation in 3 star hotel or similar in Ulaan Baatar (one night on arrival, one night before
    departure) on twin sharing basis
  • One night accommodation in private luxury camp on full board basis to experience hospitality and Mongolian culture
  • Four nights accommodation in roof tents (fitted on vehicle) and ground tents with all necessary camping gear
  • Food – mix of basic and exotic local food – 3 meals a day – large breakfast, packed lunch, sumptuous dinner
  • On road navigation, leadership & guidance
    • Minor field repair and recovery of vehicle if need arises
  • Services of a mechanic, field chef and local guides
  • Toll tax and entrance fees to national museums and parks
  • All camping equipment – including camp showers, field toilets, dining area etc
  • Comprehensive car insurance
  • Three litres of mineral water per head per day
  • One-time emergency snack kit for each vehicle
  • Emergency Medical First Response through a certified EMT
  • Merchandise – as applicable

Excludes:

  • 5% GST
  • Alcoholic and soft drinks during trip
  • Medical, luggage and travel insurance
  • Personal, medical expenses if any arise
  • Any meals not mentioned in the inclusions
  • Others not mentioned above in the ‘fee includes’

Please Note – the cost has been calculated keeping a group size of 12 in mind, any fluctuation in actual number of participants may impact the cost per person.

Booking

  • We like to keep our drives and experiences unique, close knit and authentic. Hence WBB does not encourage large groups.
  • Participation will be on first come first serve basis only. Your participation will get confirmed only when you pay us a booking advance.
  • To make a booking, pay up a 25% booking advance. This will help us secure your seat and book your flight ticket. The rest may be paid anytime 60 days prior to start of event.

Cancellation:

Any cancellation from side of participant due to any reason:

  • 30 or less than 30 days prior to start of event – no refund
  • 31 – 60 days prior to start of event – 75% refund
  • More than 60 days prior to start of event – 90% refund or 100% refund minus the cancellation charges of flight tickets (whichever is higher)

In the eventuality of WBB having to cancel the trip at any point due to unforeseen
circumstances beyond their control, the cancellation will be as follows:

  • 45 or less from start of event: 90% refund
  • Greater than 45 days – full refund
